What is the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2.

The COVID-19 virus spreads mainly between people who are in close contact with one another (within 6 ft), primarily through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

“Road to 80” Terms and Conditions

Purpose:
The CNMI Office of the Governor and the CNMI COVID-19 Task Force (hereafter “Organizers”) will conduct a series of randomized drawings for prizes intended for vaccinated persons to highlight the critical role vaccinations serve in protecting our community from the spread of COVID-19.

Terms of Program:
From Monday, July 12, 2021 through Saturday, August 28, 2021, fully vaccinated persons living on Saipan, Tinian and Rota, ages 12 years and older may enter the
“Road to 80” organized by the CNMI Office of the Governor and the CNMI COVID-19 Task Force (hereafter “Organizers”) to win prizes. Winners will be drawn at random. An eligible individual can win more than one (1) prize. Dates of drawing are subject to change without notice. Organizers reserve the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time without notice.

Eligibility:
Persons eligible to enter this promotion will be limited to living persons ages 12 and older, who are living on Saipan, Tinian and Rota and, at the time of entry, have received their second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine or Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine prior to entering this promotion. Vaccination status must be verifiable through the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation.

How to Enter:
Eligible individuals are automatically entered after registering online at www.vaccinatecnmi.com and after receiving their first dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine or Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine. The deadline to enter is at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Winner Selection and Notification:
Organizers will select one (1) weekly winner from eligible participants register on www.vaccinatecnmi.com at random using standard practices applicable to drawings that ensure randomness and integrity of the draw. Winners can claim their prize only after they’ve received their second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine or Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine. Winners will be notified using phone and email information provided at registration. Organizers will make multiple, good-faith attempts to contact winners. If Organizers are unable to contact winners using information provided at registration within 72 hours after the first attempt to contact such individuals, such individuals will be deemed to have forfeit the prize and another person may be selected for the prize from the pool or eligible persons. The Organizers have sole discretion to attempt to contact selected persons.
